Yogurt that is bad for you!

Who thinks yogurt is good for you? Well, I do – but… Most of the popular yogurt brands have more sugar in them per serving than a Twinkie or other junk food you would never consider healthy. Sugar naturally occurs in yogurt and even lowfat yogurt is notoriously high in sugar, topping in at 17 grams of sugar per serving. Greek yogurt though has as little as 6 grams in the plain flavors. Add in some syrupy fruit mixed into the usual store-bought yogurt, throw in candied nuts and/or sweetened granola and the sugar count sky-rockets! Now swirl some chemical food colors into the mix and swill in some chemical sweetener and all the health benefits are swallowed up with toxic waste. Fruit-on-the-bottom yogurts are usually “pretty OK” if there are no other additives. Read your labels peeps! I make my own from raw-organic milk so I know exactly what my loved ones are eating.

Oh, we think we are feeding our kids something good for them...
