How about this one for breast cancer survivors? Chronic inflammation is linked to breast cancer, coronary heart disease, Type II diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, frailty, functional decline and may other health problems. Yoga can help! The good news is that practicing yoga for as little as three months can even reduce fatigue and lower inflammation in breast cancer survivors according to new research. In fact, the more the women in the study practiced yoga, the better their results. At the three month point in twice weekly yoga, fatigue was 57% lower compared to the non-yoga group. Inflammation was reduced by up to 20%. The results were so good that the non-yoga group was offered yoga at 3 months to help with their fatigue and pain.
