USDA gone paramilitary

Picture this: Men with US Department of Agriculture (USDA) T-shirts pointing a .40-caliber submachine gun with 30-round magazines right at you as you attempt to get into your car with a gallon of raw cows’ milk. These are guns that ordinary citizens cannot own – yet the USDA can have them. But just wait a doggone minute: The mission statement of the USDA is “To expand economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive; to promote agriculture production sustainability…” Now, how are big guns going to further that mission statement? The USDA has a growing record of criminalizing rabbit farmers, confiscating the crops of raisin producers and telling free-born citizens they no right to consume food they grow or milk their own cows. But this government food agency actually has its very own Law Enforcement and Investigations unit that apparently needs some superior fire-power…

I guess they are just doing what the taxpayers tell them to?
