The canola hex on your health

One reason that canola oil is not good for you is that it ALL goes through a chemical “deodorizing” processing to remove the “stink” of rapeseed. Want to hex your health? Eat some canola oil made with hexane. Hexane is actually a gasoline vapor used to process oils since around World War II. So how is canola organic? It’s NOT… Canola oil doesn’t come from any natural plant named “canola”. It actually stands for “Canada Oil”. The touted omega-3 fatty acids that show up in processed canola oil are chemically transformed during the deodorizing process into trans-fatty acids. These monster trans-fatty acids are actually unsuitable for human consumption and contain a very-long-chain fatty acid called erucic acid, which is associated with fibrotic heart lesions. Did you know that in 1985, the FDA outlawed canola oil in infant formulas because it retarded growth? How is this even good for you?? Avoid it like the plague it is.
