Tanning beds are not your friends

Our friend the sun doesn’t normally cause skin cancer, but nutritional deficiencies will lower your skin’s ability to transform the benefits of the sun while allowing harm to come to your skin. Did you know that tanning beds cause skin cancer? A new study shows that using indoor tanning beds compounds skin cancer risk by a staggering 59%. In light of this new evidence, the FDA (Future Delays Ahead) has taken a bold step to do do something about this risk. No, they are not shutting down any tanning bed outlets – but they are requiring salons to place warning stickers on all tanning beds. That’s going to about as helpful as a snooze button on a smoke alarm… Don’t expect the tanning joints to be discouraging clients of any age from tanning either! Flash the cash and you’re in. Teenagers are at the highest at risk for skin cancer from the fake and bake skin warmers with one out of three high school senior girls showing up for regular doses of UVA-induced basal cell carcinoma.
