Side effects of yellow food dye

Tartrazine – AKA FD&C yellow # 5, E102, Acid Yellow 23, Food Yellow # 4 is one bad mama jama food color made from coal tar that will cause all kinds of health problems. So bad that the FDA requires it labeled or they will seize the products. The kicker? Most food products that are target marketed to children contain the brilliant color Tartrazine. Tartrazine is also found in medications, cosmetics and personal care products. It is even fed to chickens to make egg yolks more yellow. Now for some of the the side-effects of Tartrazine: thyroid cancer, allergic reactions, anxiety, migraines, asthma attacks, blurred vision, eczema and other skin rashes, Eosinophilia, clinical depression, ADHD, hyperactivity, hives, permanent DNA damage, heart palpitations, rhinitis, sleep disturbances/insomnia, fatigue, hot flashes and OCD.
