Protein for muscle

While carbohydrates fuel muscles, in order to build muscle, you need protein. Did you know that muscle plays an important role in protecting you from diabetes? The more healthy muscle you have, the more efficiently your body uptakes glucose from the bloodstream. It is very important to consume protein daily as the body does not easily store protein. Antibodies are another protein that helps your body fight infection. For every different antigen that enters the body, there is a distinct antibody to fight it by immobilizing and sequestering antigens until white blood cells can destroy them.  Small amounts of animal proteins in the diet are the easiest way to insure a supply of complete protein. Plant-based proteins can be combined to make complete proteins as well but sometimes lack essential amino acids to make them work properly. Without good protein assimilation, your internal organs grow weak to the point of failing.

It takes quality protein to build quality muscle.
