Marijuana and sleep disorder

I’ve blogged some of the good things about marijuana so I’d better also give you some of the bad. A recent study out of the University of Pennsylvania and published recently in an online supplement of the journal Sleep, suggests that smoking marijuana brings impaired sleep quality. A history of cannabis use can bring difficulty falling asleep, struggling to stay asleep, not feeling rested after sleep and feelings of daytime sleepiness. Of course, the longer you use it, the stronger the sleep problems. The biggest finding though was that the younger the smoker started, the more severe the sleep effects with the strongest association found in adults who started marijuana use before 15 years of age. I’m not condemning marijuana use completely, just giving some food for thought…

Although I believe marijuana can be good for certain things, it is also bad for certain things.
