If you are hypothyroid don’t eat this?

There sure is a lot of disinformation out there about hypothyroidism and cruciferous vegetables. The hype is that if you are on thyroid meds you should avoid all cruciferous vegetables. Well, partially true… The whole truth is that if you are iodine deficient you will be hypothyroid AND cruciferous vegetables will make iodine deficient hypothyroidism worse. The truth is that if you are hypothyroid you more likely than not need iodine/iodide desperately. Take iodine and iodide until you are no longer deficient and then you can eat all the healthy cruciferous vegetables you want – AND I seriously doubt you will be hypo-thyroid any more. It’s all about treating the causes of the symptoms of hypothyroid rather than drugging the symptoms. Did you know that in 19 years as a nutritionist I have never seen a cancer case that had a normal thyroid?

Treat the causes and the symptoms go away.

Treat the causes and the symptoms go away.
