Cooking up some Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s news: The latest study appearing in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, identifies copper as a smoking gun for causing Alzheimer’s disease. The cumulative effect of copper in the body impairs the systems by which amyloid beta is removed from the brain making it one of the key factors causing brain plaques that are the hallmark of Alzheimer’s Disease. So where do we get this copper? Some amounts are found in drinking water carried by copper pipes but do you want to know one the biggest coppered brain-stealing culprits? Your stainless steel and copper bottom pots and pans. Stainless steel is porous and allows copper, nickel, aluminum and other toxic metals to leech into our foods while cooking. I suggest investing in titanium cookware. I did!
