A new way to test your food quality coming soon

Food-sniffers: Coming to your hip pocket soon. Foods are currently analyzed for safety at a rate of about 1%. Analysis is cumbersome and expensive – and who knows how many lives are in danger while the laboratories grind out the testing. Well, I’ve told you about the Smartphone accessory that can sniff out gluten and the upcoming attachable device that ferrets out GMO contamination to a surprising accuracy. Now there is the latest innovate device under development called the “Foodsniffer” that detects pesticide residues, mycotoxins and allergens for field-based detection of harmful species at low concentrations. Expensive? Yep. But it won’t be long before they will all be affordable. And what is your health worth anyhow? Pretty soon the old labeling conundrum won’t matter when you can test things with your own personal device. I can’t wait!

It will be a day of rejoicing!
